Petro Coetzee (Art name 'Shingalana')
A Little Insight into my life.
My art name Shingalana derives from a Lioness called "Shingalana",My art commenced in 1993 with a passion of Wildlife mainly lions, hence my art name.
The Lord God inspired me to capture his creation on canvas in oils, With this medium I felt comfortable in expressing my individuality as an artist. Although I have completed other themes, for example landscapes, still life and portraits. It is my great love, admiration and respect for Gods creation with wild life that consumes my interest.
I have sold my art at the V & A Waterfront Craft Market and various other galleries in Cape Town. Sales have also gone to art collectors abroad.
