Have you been able to imagine how a Power Line of about 50m height would impact on the historical Tulbagh Valley? Well your anti-power line (ETLAC) action committee has made a graphical presentation for you!
The artist's imression (by the kind efforts of renowned cartoonist Myke Ashley-Cooper) will illustrate to you what this Power Line could do to the National heritage treasure that is the the town of Tulbagh and the historical Tulbagh valley!
Goodbye Golf course that will provide much needed and sustainable jobs, stimulate the economy through tourism and investment and goodbye Tulbagh!
Between the Municipality and Eskom with their insensitive and or intransigent attitude towards this National treasure which is Tulbagh, the destruction is almost complete! Eskom has submitted it's application for approval from the Department of Envionment and Tourism for a Record of Decision after having undertaken a 'so called' Environmental Impact Assessment Study which they pronounce as having the least impact on the environment in respect of the proposed route. You be the judge as to whether you believe that this power line should be allowed and or whether the whole process was flawed! Did you know about this? Were you consulted?
See for yourself!
